Male Global Account Director to Female Senior Producer

why isn't there an International Men's Day? That's obnoxious. We should have one too

On International Women's Day, a number of colleagues (both male and female) wore red to work. One coworker (male) asked me in a one on one meeting what the red was for... "International Women's Day, celebrating women around the world, those who can't take the day off of work are wearing red in solidarity." In a completely serious tone, he asked, "Oh, that's why my girlfriend was wearing red today. But why isn't there an International Men's Day? That's obnoxious. We should have one too." I stared at him for a moment and then walked away. I was shocked and couldn't gather my wits to try and explain.

Male Chief Strategy Officer to Female Senior Strategist

I walked into my final interview for a Strategy Director position with the Chief Strategy Officer. He refused to look me in the eye or call me by my name. Male Executive Creative Director to female Senior Art Director

Male ECD: "No, they're totally fucking. She's always flirting with him."
Me: (clearly uncomfortable) "I don't think either one of them would do that."
Male Copywriter: "Yeah, they're always flirting."
Me: "She's just being nice. That's not flirting. But they're definitely not hooking up."
Male ECD: "Yeah, okay. They're totally fucking though."
